What to expect from the entrance assessment.

Which classes require an assessment?

An entrance assessment applies to certain classes. When you submit an enquiry, the admissions office will confirm whether one is required for the class your child is applying to.

What is assessed?

The assessment is appropriate to the child's age and the class applied for. Depending on the level, it may cover:

English language and literacy
Mathematics and numeracy
General knowledge
Reasoning and comprehension
Readiness for the class applied for
A short conversation with the child

How is it arranged?

The school agrees a date and time with you directly. Assessments are held at the school in Teshie. Please arrive a little early so your child can settle.

How will I hear the outcome?

The admissions office will contact you by phone, WhatsApp or email using the details you supplied on your enquiry, and will explain the next step.

A note for parents. The assessment is not there to catch a child out. It helps us place your child in the right class and see where they may need support from day one.
