Career & Awareness Week is a fun, hands-on week where kids discover exciting jobs, meet real workers and dream big about their future. Here's what our young learners got up to!
Career & Awareness Week is all about helping kids explore the amazing world of jobs! From firefighters to farmers, artists to astronauts, learners spent the week discovering what grown-ups do all day — and dreaming about what they might like to do when they grow up.
What we did
Every day brought something new and exciting. Kids got to dress up, play games, ask questions and try out real tools and activities from different jobs. It was hands-on, noisy and lots of fun!
Here are some of the highlights:
- Dress-Up Day — learners came to school dressed as their dream job
- Meet a Professional — special guests visited to show us what they do
- Job Stations — kids tried activities like bandaging teddy bears, building with tools and painting like artists
- Draw Your Dream Job — everyone created a picture of their future career
- Story Time — books about different jobs and the people who do them
Who joined in
All our learners took part, from the youngest classes to the older ones. We were also lucky to welcome parents, grandparents and local workers who came to share their jobs with us. They answered lots of curious questions — and the kids loved it!
What kids learned
By the end of the week, learners knew that there are hundreds of jobs out there, and that they can be anything they want to be. They learned that every job is important and that helping people, making things and solving problems are all part of the world of work.
